FOMPS.NET was started by me, Stephen Van Dahm, on November 9, 2002. Back in the day, I used to go to St. Olaf College, where I met a lot of wonderful people. After I left St. Olaf to study computer science, most of my friends graduated and entered into the cold cruel world. A conversation with a friend convinced me that there was a demand for an e-mail list that our friends could use to keep in touch after we have all gone our separate ways. Having always wanted to register a domain and be my own webmaster, I decided to take up the challenge.
I run a few e-mail lists and a private web forum for our group of friends. If you're a former Ole, and you came to this site to find out about them, contact me, and I'll sign you up. The purpose of the lists is to continue the old "enclave" and "bigsteer" aliases that we had at St. Olaf, but you don't have to have been a member of the old lists to join the new lists.
